Brenda Perez
Immigration Filing Coordinator

I understand how overwhelming and complex legal matters can be, especially for those navigating a new place, language, and culture.

Legal Assistant at Saavedra & Perez

As a Legal Assistant at Saavedra & Perez, I coordinate immigration filings by working closely with clients to gather essential information, prepare forms, and organize documents for attorney review and submission. I’m also responsible for requesting immigration records from government agencies to ensure that every detail of the case is accurate. With a strong commitment to client care, I provide support every step of the way, keeping clients informed and addressing any questions or concerns they may have to ensure a positive experience.

Why Immigration law matters to me

Working in immigration law is personally important to me because I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to build a better life for themselves and their loved ones. Immigration is a life-changing decision, and I’m committed to ensuring that clients feel fully informed and at ease throughout the process. I understand how overwhelming and complex legal matters can be, especially for those navigating a new place, language, and culture.

My favorite part of the work I do is having the opportunity to connect with people from so many different backgrounds. I love sharing and celebrating good news, and offering support and a safe space whenever it’s needed. It’s incredibly rewarding to be part of their journey and help make a positive difference in their lives.

Where do I feel like I belong?

I feel like I belong in Granada, Nicaragua. Growing up there, my family and I would always celebrate our achievements with Sunday trips there, walking down La Calzada street and driving along the lake. Being in Granada connects me to my family and my childhood.

Books, coffee, and sunsets bring me joy

My favorite things are books, coffee, and sunsets. There’s nothing that makes me happier than being able to visit so many places through the pages of a good book, drinking the first cup of coffee in the morning, and watching sunsets at the beach after a day spent with my loved ones.
