I spearhead our firm’s branding, website development, and overall messaging to communicate our mission to provide dedicated legal services to immigrants on the East Coast. Through traditional and digital marketing, live events, strategic partnership development, and more, my work drives our firm’s visibility and engagement to ensure that those in need of legal aid can access our expert services.

Immigration law is personal to me

Having lived as an undocumented immigrant for a decade, I deeply understand the fear and uncertainty that comes with that status. My personal experiences have ingrained in me a profound commitment to justice and the desire to effect meaningful change. In my role as a marketing director at an immigration law firm, I am not just promoting our services; I am on a mission to reshape the narrative surrounding immigrants in the United States. Through strategic marketing and media, I aim to foster a more inclusive, accurate understanding of the immigrant community, advocating for dignity and fairness in how they are perceived and treated.

My favorite aspect of my work is the opportunity to build from scratch, significantly shaping how we present ourselves to the world. It’s particularly inspiring that my sister and her business partner founded this business. Together, we have the chance to create a lasting legacy that will benefit future generations, especially as we dedicate our efforts to supporting the immigrant community. The blend of creative input and the potential for meaningful impact makes my role incredibly rewarding.

Where do I feel like I belong?

It seems that where I belong is less about a place and more about the people and the purpose that fills my life. In Colombia, the closest thing to home was my grandma’s house. Now that she has passed, my aunt’s house gives me that same feeling. It is a place filled with love and community, and every time I leave, it feels like I’m leaving a part of myself behind.

I also feel a strong connection to NYC and East Hampton, where I grew up, built my career and shared countless adventures and joys with my parents, sister, and friends. These places are woven into the fabric of who I am.

Today, my sense of belonging is anchored by the presence of my partner, whose companionship brings me immense peace. Equally, I find a deep sense of purpose and belonging at Saavedra & Perez Law, where my creative efforts impact the immigrant community across the US.

Food and being active outside bring me joy

I could live off tacos and arepas. I love staying active and adventurous: I’m an avid bike rider, hiker, and swimmer. Traveling and exploring new restaurants also top my list. As for places to visit, there’s nothing quite like the beauty of Caribbean beaches, San Andres or Las Terrenas. Beyond all this, I have a deep passion for learning new things, constantly seeking to broaden my horizons and gain new perspectives.
