Santiago Forero Cardozo
Legal Consultation Coordinator
I firmly believe that people do not leave their homeland, traditions, language, and family willingly or by choice; they do it to improve their lives and the lives of their children.
Legal Consultation Coordinator at Saavedra & Perez Law
As a Legal Consultation Coordinator, I am the first point of contact for people who reach out to us. My job is to listen to their life stories, understand their struggles, and deeply investigate potential forms of relief. I also work to build trust so they see the firm as a safe place where they can entrust their hopes and dreams.
I am dedicated to creating an environment where clients feel comfortable sharing their experiences, often painful and complex. This first interaction is crucial for establishing the tone for their entire relationship with our firm and guiding them toward the appropriate path for their immigration case.
Why immigration law matters to me
Working in immigration law is important to me because I firmly believe that people do not leave their homeland, traditions, language, and family willingly or by choice; they do it to improve their lives and the lives of their children. I take pride in being part of the solution, helping them achieve their goals, and ensuring they feel that their sacrifice was worth it.
Where do I feel like I belong?
I feel that I belong to the people I care about, especially my family and friends. I’ve been fortunate to have friends and family in different places, and wherever I go, I have felt at home, regardless of time zones or continents. It’s these human connections that define my sense of belonging more than any geographical location.
What brings me joy
I am passionate about traveling and immersing myself in new cultures, learning about their traditions, cuisine, and idiosyncrasies. I enjoy reading about history, especially from the 20th century. I am also deeply passionate about mechanics and antiques.
My favorite part of my job is knowing that every day I am contributing to improving people’s lives, and that with each interaction, I am helping to change a micro world for our clients. I believe that is what defines a profession with a noble purpose.
