As Operations Manager, I make sure every case moves forward smoothly and with care. I lead and train our legal team, set the standards we follow on every case, and review files to confirm the work is complete and accurate. I also coordinate with the therapists, interpreters, translators, and experts who help strengthen our clients’ cases. When clients need support beyond their legal case, such as medical care or counseling, I help connect them with trusted resources.
I started at the firm as a case manager, working closely with clients on their forms, documents, and declarations. That experience shapes how I lead today. I know how much trust it takes for someone to share their story, and I want every client to feel heard, respected, and supported by our whole team. I feel a strong connection with our clients because I’m also from Latin America. It helps me understand their experiences and challenges.
Why immigration law matters to me
I believe everyone deserves a chance to be safe and have opportunities, no matter where they are from. Every person’s situation is different and being able to help them have a better future is incredibly rewarding for me.
Where do I feel like I belong?
I truly feel like I belong in my country, El Salvador. I have a deep connection to the culture, the people, the landscape, and the weather. It’s the smell of the local food and the simple joys in life that make me feel at home. I also feel a special connection to Guatemala. It has an energy that’s beyond words—it gives me peace and fills my heart.
Travel, food, and books bring me joy
I love exploring food from around the world, from Indian curries to Mexican tacos to Italian focaccia and polenta. I also enjoy traveling to colonial towns with histories that blend indigenous cultures, cobblestone streets, and beautiful architecture. My favorite books are classical literature, such as Victor Hugo’s “Les Miserable”, Leo Tolstoy’s “Anna Karenina”, and Latin American classic writers.
